…because I LOVE crying at the office first thing in the morning…  (It’s okay, though - this is a message I need to hear.)

How often do you answer messages?
    Hello love,
I actually wasn’t going to answer any today, but I will make an exception for this as you are all probably wondering where I am. I would hate to worry you.
As I mentioned before, my human-typist-friend has exams right now. After each of her exams, she has taken a few hours break to help me answer questions. Now she has another one coming up on Tuesday, and is trying to study for that right now.
It takes a long time to answer questions and make pictures, which is time we don’t have right now. Don’t worry. I am still reading all of your questions when they come in. I am listening.

When her exams are over, I am hoping we will be able to answer a few questions every day, except when we can’t get to a compooper. We will have to see how it goes.

    Take care,

Oh yes. I love that tattoo. I am so pleased you got it. It looks so nice on you.I am so glad you brought this up. I have been looking for a chance to say something, but I didn’t want to interrupt anyone. For those of you who don’t know, I…oof, this is a little hard for me to talk about. There aren’t a lot of my kind, not in the grand scheme of things. There are places where there are more of us, and our population is okay, but there are other places where…where we get hurt a lot. We get hit by boats, choke on litter, and get tangled in the traps you leave for other animals.
I know that it isn’t your fault personally, but there are ways you can help us that I would really appreciate.
There is a wonderful website some lovely humans have, calling Save the Manatees. I think that is a very nice name, don’t you?
They do lots of nice things, like look after my kind when we are hurt, and keep an eye on us when they think we might be in trouble. They stop humans who hurt us, educate other humans about protecting our food and stop humans from running their boats through where we live. You can help them out by donating money to their programs, or even adopting one of my kind and buying things with manatees on them.
I know that you have your own things to worry about, and that is okay. I understand that a lot of you are struggling right now, and I don’t want to make you feel guilty. You need to put yourself first. But for those of you that can afford it, know that you will have the eternal gratitude or my species and I.
Thank you for your time. Take care.
xox Manatee (Also, this post is reblobbable. Isn’t that fun? My human typist friend and I intend to make all the asks reblobbable when we have a bit more time. In the mean time, here is this one.)

  4. Hello all of my wonderful human friends.

    calmingmanatee:

You look so nice today. I love what you have been doing with your hair.

I am so pleased that all of you are here. I really am. I have never been part of such a lovely, kind and smart group of people before.

Have you got a moment? I just want to run something past you. Tell me what you think.

I want you to know that I have been reading all of your messages and I love them. My human friend is intending to print some out and put them on her wall in a frame.

I have also decided to follow the lovely Boggle’s example, and not post all of the lovely and kind messages this interblag receives. I do see them and appreciate them, and I want to keep them in my interblag box. I have bad days sometimes too, and it is so wonderful to be able to read through them. It absolutely makes my day.

And another note to the people who are sending nasty messages: Please keep sending them. I would much rather you take out all of your rage on me than send it to someone who might get hurt. I know that sometimes you need to get that out, and if you need to get it out here then that is okay. I’m here for whatever you need.

I am sorry that was so long. Thank you for your time. I hope you have a wonderful day. You deserve it.

    xox Manatee.

…just when I thought I couldn’t love this blog more.
