We only have one month until the petition closes, and there are only about 1700 signatures on it!
Go sign!

DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THIS WOULD BENEFIT THE AMERICANS ON TUMBLR. THEY COULD ACTUALLY SEE THEIR FRIENDS THAT LIVE ACROSS THE COUNTRY. THIS PLACE IS TOO GODDAMN BIG TO NOT HAVE A SYSTEM LIKE THIS.AMERICA’S TRAINS ARE DECADES BEHIND OTHER COUNTRIES’ RAILWAY TECHNOLOGY. IT’S AN EMBARRASSMENT AND WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO FIX IT WITH SOMETHING LIKE THIS.

83,000 signatures needed by March 7!

Remember that one time in the 1930s where America was broke as fuck and no one had jobs and then the President was like “we need some damn infrastructure, hey you people with no jobs we would like to give you jobs to build infrastructure” and then they did and we had roads and bridges and dams and shit? And how that has been a good thing for the economy?
With as many investors as we have in the government, it continues to shock me that so few of them think investing in their own country might be good for it and for them.
GO SIGN THIS THING.

Reblogging for commentary.

Is the proposed solution the right one? I don’t know. But we have to start somewhere.
How are there 44K notes on this and only 17K signatures?
